LEGAL NOTICE & CUSTOMER ADVISORY: IMPORT LIABILITY AND DELIVERY COMPLIANCE

1. LEGAL CAPACITY AND CONTRACTUAL BINDING

This digital platform is owned, operated, and managed under the trading brand name CronicX. By accessing this website, utilizing any associated services, or completing a purchase for smart hardware hosted on the SavvySite Services infrastructure via our dedicated Hostinger .com domain, you enter into a legally binding contract and agree to comply fully with our operational frameworks.

In strict accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, you affirm that you possess full legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. If you are a student or an individual under the age of 18, you explicitly acknowledge that you are executing transactions with the guidance, knowledge, and formal consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. STATUTORY NOTICE: IMPORTER OF RECORD AND SARS LIABILITY

CronicX operates an optimized international digital fulfillment model. While our consumer delivery network is strictly domestic within South Africa , all hardware orders are dispatched directly from our global digital supplier facilities and verified procurement networks (including our primary smartphone channel at Pluro Store) straight to the end-consumer.

Legal Status: Upon completing a purchase, the customer is recognized legally under South African import frameworks as the Importer of Record for the purchased smart hardware.

Financial Responsibility: The customer assumes full legal and financial responsibility for any import VAT, statutory border handling clearance fees, or ad valorem customs duties levied by the South African Revenue Service (SARS) or authorized customs clearance agents.

Pricing Exclusion: All listed prices on the CronicX storefront are explicitly exclusive of international customs duties and import border charges. These are distinct, external costs separate from our standard product pricing structure.

3. MANDATORY CUSTOMS CLEARANCE PROCESS

Upon arrival at the South African border (typically at the OR Tambo International Mail Centre or specialized commercial clearance terminals), incoming packages are assessed by customs officials.

The processing courier agency will contact the customer directly via SMS, email, or telephone with a formal customs breakdown invoice. This invoice must be settled online directly with the courier agency to trigger immediate customs release and final domestic delivery. CronicX shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from customs border detentions or failures on the part of the customer to settle local SARS import invoices.

4. DELIVERY RUNWAY AND MITIGATION OF CORRIDOR DELAYS

The total estimated delivery runway is 7–14 Business Days from the point of successful transaction confirmation to final domestic delivery. This timeline is divided into:

  1.

Premium Order Processing (1–3 Business Days): Secure payment verification, anti-fraud checks, order routing, component testing, and secure packaging by the supplier prior to courier collection.

  2.

Standard Transit (4–8 Business Days): Direct package travel from the courier to the domestic customer.

Advisory Notice: International logistics corridors into South Africa can experience variable delays stemming from flight routing schedules, localized airline capacity restrictions, or backlogs within national customs hubs. CronicX maintains continuous digital tracking on all items to mitigate these anomalies , but cannot guarantee fixed delivery times against external border disruptions.

5. RIGHT OF TRANSACTIONAL CANCELLATION & DATABASE FAULTS

CronicX dynamically sources items from global online distribution networks. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify retail pricing structures, discontinue specific device categories, or correct typographical errors or database pricing mismatches instantly without prior notice.

In the event that a system glitch or database fault causes an item (including laptops, iPhones, and tablets) to be listed at an incorrect price point—such as below cost or at R0.00—CronicX retains the full legal right to cancel the order, reject the transaction, and issue an immediate refund to the buyer. All payments must clear our integrated local merchant payment gateways (PayFast, Yoco, or Ozow) in full before an order is routed to our online supplier fulfillment pipelines. We reserve the right to refuse any order that triggers automated fraud alerts, exhibits mismatched billing info, or shows signs of unauthorized commercial reselling.

CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By executing a transaction on this platform, you affirm that you have read, understood, and legally accepted the terms of this operational notice. You acknowledge your designation as the Importer of Record and accept the associated financial obligations mandated by SARS and South African cross-border logistics frameworks.
